SOCIAL MEDIA LAUNCH

​

As the first-ever marketing hire for the company, one of my first tasks was to build a base presence on social media that were appropriate for their target market. The company had not used social media previously and had no established presence online.

​

My Role: Created inbound content marketing strategy, including social media strategy, to establish company's expertise using a blog, case studies, whitepapers, and videos; selected appropriate social media (LinkedIn and YouTube) for niche B2B audience; drafted blog entries, case studies, whitepapers; shared content via LinkedIn; tracked relevant metrics and reported on performance

Fun Fact: After the first year, traffic to the company website increased by 38%; organic search traffic increased by 30%; LinkedIn following increased by 85%, with growth increasing by 20% per month; new business increased by 12%.

LEGENDS GRAPHIC

​

Although head and neck cancer is the 6th most common cancer by incidence, few people can readily name someone famous who has had it. This graphic was created to share some of the many famous faces who have been affected. This image was used primarily during the non-profit's Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week in April.

​

My Role:  Conceptualized graphic; researched and obtained images of celebrities; designed image; shared via select digital channels; tracked relevant metrics and reported on performance

2022 AWARENESS WEEK CAMPAIGN GRAPHICS (IN-HOUSE)

​

By early 2022, research had shown that the COVID-19 pandemic had greatly impacted the number of people who had been getting voluntary cancer screenings, as well as the number of preteens receiving required and suggested vaccinations. Therefore, the non-profit's 2022 Oral, Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Week campaign focused on "taking your health into your own hands" by doing self-exams, getting kids up to date on vaccines, getting screenings, etc. These graphics were used by the non-profit during Awareness Week for its in-house campaign.

My Role:  Conceptualized overall campaign theme; planned daily campaign topics/themes; wrote social media posts; designed graphics; scheduled all posts to select social media channels via HootSuite; tracked relevant metrics and reported on performance

2022 AWARENESS WEEK SURVIVOR SPOTLIGHT POSTS

Included in the non-profit's 2022 Awareness Week digital campaign were a series of Survivor Spotlight posts, sharing stories of everyday people, their experiences with cancer, and what they are doing now.

​

My Role:  Conceptualized posts; selected subjects; wrote copy; designed graphics; scheduled all posts to select social media channels via HootSuite; tracked relevant metrics and reported on performance

2022 AWARENESS WEEK CAMPAIGN GRAPHICS (PARTNERS)

​

Each year, the non-profit offers its medical and dental partners a social media package (posts and assets) that they can share on their own channels. The partner-focused campaign is more general in nature, as opposed to the in-house themed campaign, and focuses on what head and neck cancer is, its risk factors, symptoms, and what people can do in regard to prevention and early detection.   

​

My Role:  Conceptualized overall campaign; planned daily campaign topics; wrote social media posts; designed graphics; sent social media package to partners

​
